20th Annual Public Safety Appreciation BBQ
With a record turn-out under cool and comfortable clouds, our 20th Annual Public Safety Appreciation BBQ fundraiser was a great success. We packed the Bank of America Plaza with our friends and neighbors in law enforcement, serving over 1,200 heaping plates of delicious BBQ and dessert. The big crowd enjoyed live music from local rock-n-roll favorites, JetStream, and give-aways from local businesses.
This year's event benefited the Sheriff's Youth Foundation with a donation of $5,000.
"The Sheriff's Youth Foundation of Los Angeles County is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to improve the quality of life of young people throughout the County of Los Angeles. Our goal is to promote positive relationships between the Foundation and other providers of youth and/or law enforcement services, so as to develop an efficient and effective delivery of community services."
