Compiled below is an ongoing list of important resources for individuals impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19). FREE COVID-19 TESTING

The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the County of Los Angeles, is providing free COVID-19 testing to ALL Los Angeles City residents, whether or not you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Priority for the same or next day testing is still given to people with symptoms, such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Testing is by appointment only. More info here.


DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESOURCES

The City of Los Angeles has put together a list of hotlines, shelters, and legal aid for individuals experiencing domestic violence, which has risen during the coronavirus outbreak. Download flyers in English and Spanish, and please don't hesitate to reach our for help. 


FREE DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN OF ESSENTIAL WORKERS & FREE GRAB AND GO MEALS

DIGNITY HEALTH VIRTUAL URGENT CARE

Dignity Health is offering a free Virtual Care Anywhere visit for anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, including low-grade fever (100.4 or above), cough, or shortness of breath. Instructions for scheduling a virtual visit are available here, and read the FAQ here.


EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

Newly announced special benefits the EDD (Economic Development Department) provides a variety of support services to individuals and businesses affected by COVID-19 in California. New support is available for:

  • Sick or quarantined employees
  • Caregivers to quarantined family members
  • Reduced work hours: benefits for employers experiencing a slowdown; alternatives to lay-offs for employees 

FREE MEALS FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

Los Angeles Unified, in partnership with the Red Cross, provides nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools. 60 Grab & Go Food Centers are open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.


PAID FAMILY LEAVE

Apply for Paid Family Leave if you’re unable to work because you are caring for an ill or quarantined family member with COVID-19.


LA COUNTY BUSINESS & WORKER DISASTER HELP CENTER

We've gathered several useful resources to help LA County workers who may be experiencing adversities due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.


BARTENDER EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The United States Bartenders Guild Foundation is offering financial assistance to bartenders and their families through its Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. You do not need to be a member to apply.
