Taqueando Presents: Tuétano Taquería, Ricky's Fish Tacos, & Tamales Elena y Antojitos
Taqueando—an all-you-can-eat taco tasting festival featuring traditional and innovative chefs from Southern California, Mexico, and beyond—held its first annual event in June 2019. Fast forward, and we're in another universe altogether. While mass gatherings aren't possible, Taqueando's organizers are keeping the spirit of the event alive with ongoing pop-ups curated by Bill Esparza (a James Beard Award winner in journalism for his coverage of the Los Angeles taco scene) featuring taqueros, taqueras, and friends.
Up this week: Chef Priscilla Curiel of San Diego's famed Tuétano Taquería, LA taco king Ricky Piña of Ricky’s Fish Tacos*, and tamales to-go from Tamales Elena y Antojitos. Available for takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining on the restaurant’s patio on a first come, first served basis. Wine, beer, and cocktails will also be available.
*Note: Ricky's will be serving Thursday - Saturday only.
