Rising Chef Series, AAPI Heritage Month Dinner Pop-up - Chef David Nguyen

This May, the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) opens its doors to Little Tokyo’s first-ever Rising Chefs Series. The experience brings together four emerging Asian American chefs. Each week features a 5-course prix fixe menu and signature House of Suntory cocktail pairing.

Week 1 of the series will feature a restaurant concept by David Nguyen, a French Laundry and Club 33 trained chef and first-generation Vietnamese American born in Palawan, Philippines. Chef David Nguyen’s menu features flavors from his childhood in Vietnam and his upbringing in the US.

Each night will include two seatings at 5:30pm and 8:00pm.

Following weeks will feature:
- Week 2 (May 9-10), Chef Kevin Lee @chefboylee
- Week 3 (May 17-18), Chef Tway Nguyen @twaydabae
- Week 4 (May 26-27), Chef Chris Ono, JACCC Resident Chef
