Listening Session: Tremaine Emory

Tremaine Emory, also known by his pseudonym Denim Tears, is a cultural voice with a penchant for fashion, music, and culture. Producing radio shows, podcasts, and envisioning crossovers between contemporary art and creative outlets, Emory works as a leader of the cultural provocateur. Most recently, he designed shirts with the artist Brendan Fowler. Alongside his collaborator Acyde, he co-founded the collective No Vacancy Inn, which contributed audio commentary for the MCA Chicago exhibition Virgil Abloh: “Figures of Speech” (2019). For this event, Emory hosts an intimate listening session of select records.
