LA Parks Run Series Kicks Off with Mission Possible Run on Sunday, June 4 at Elysian Park

Los Angeles Parks Foundation (www.laparksfoundation.org) is excited to build on the success of Run GPR with the launch of the LA Parks Run Series, following the triumphant Griffith Park Run, which brought in over 800 participants last year for its 7th edition. The first LA Parks Run Series is the Mission Possible Run 5K & 10K on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Elysian Park (835 Academy Road, Los Angeles, CA, 90012) commencing at 8am.

The scenic 5K/10K Run/Walk is all on newly paved road, with intermittent rolling hills, in the historic Solano Canyon area. Participants will have beautiful views of the foothills, downtown Los Angeles, and Dodger Stadium. Guests can sign up for the Mission Possible 5K Run/Walk option ($40) or the 10K Run/Walk ($40) with registration ending June 4, 2023 at 7:45AM PDT. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Los Angeles Parks Foundation to support their important mission to enhance and preserve city parks and green spaces. Open to all levels of ability, families are welcome to participate, and strollers may be used. Pets must be on a leash. Organized by Aztlan Athletics, the LA Parks Run Series will feature four park runs a year, exploring some of the most iconic historical parks in the urban Los Angeles area, which are the Mission Possible Run, Aztlan Cross Country Classic 5K, the 4-Mile Hill Challenge and the iconic Griffith Park Run Half Marathon & 5k on Feb 4, 2024. Participants who sign up for the LA Parks Run Series will receive special commemorative series medallions and swag from each event. Guests may register for the LA Parks Series 5K ($195) or LA Park Series Half Marathon ($250), or alternatively, guests can register for individual events.
