L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K Run/1K Kiddie & PAW’er Dog Run/Walk & 20/40-Mile Bike Ride

Celebrating 44 years, the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker presented by ABC Laboratories, is one of the largest and oldest running races in the U.S. with its upcoming Lunar New Year run, walk, cycling and dog walk events held over the weekend of February 19-20, 2022.

Registration is open for the February 2022 Firecracker L.A. Year of the Tiger Chinatown events with a choice to participate in-person or virtually. L.A. Chinatown Firecracker will continue to prioritize the health and safety of all participants and volunteers, including a focus on adherence to public health guidelines. Each registered participant receives a commemorative 2022 Firecracker race bib, exclusive collectible finisher’s medal, limited edition t-shirt, and much more. The 44th Annual Firecracker has been approved as a 2022 USATF Sanctioned Event.

The 44th Annual L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is produced by the nonprofit L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee (LACFRC), a group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to organize and stage events and programs promoting healthy lifestyles, fitness, cultural awareness, supports education and encourages community participation. LACFRC continues to give back with proceeds reinvested in the community providing service and programs benefitting elementary schools and local nonprofit organizations.

Since March of 2020, LACFRC has contributed countless volunteer hours coordinating with others on pandemic relief efforts and we donated thousands of dollars to purchase meals from neighborhood businesses to feed front line workers and vulnerable community members.

• Sat, Feb 19: 1-mile PAW’er Dog Walk; 9:00 a.m.
• Sun, Feb 20: 5K Run/Walk; 8:00 a.m. Run / 8:20 a.m. Walk
• Sun, Feb 20: 10K Run/Walk; 8:20 a.m. Run / 8:40 a.m. Walk
• Sun, Feb 20: 1K Kiddie Run: 9:00 a.m.

REGISTRATION:
Through September 30: $27 - $69 (prices increase thereafter) including a 15K Combo Run and discounts for participating in multiple events. Registration for all events in-person end on February 20, and registration for virtual options remain open until February 27
