Arts Management Certificate Program
Enroll by February 7.
Recognizing that arts organizations, like many sectors, are experiencing a period of massive change where old models are proving to be ineffective and unsustainable, the Arts Management Certificate Program at Cal State LA Downtown positions learners as innovators and centers on change management.
Taught by L.A. Arts Organizations Leaders, program courses explore new models for arts leadership and encourage students to cultivate sustainable, ethical careers, both for themselves and for other artists and managers, including:
Why strong, mission-driven leadership is vital to success, and how leadership style, organization design, and stakeholder relationships influence sustainability, equity, and impact.
The need to manage and navigate the unique financial operations of arts organizations with complex and nuanced ecosystems.
How designing, building, or refining marketing and outreach campaigns using CRM systems, audience data, digital content, social media, and earned media strategies can align with goals and engagement priorities.
How to cultivate donor relationships, write compelling grants, develop sponsorship strategies, and navigate the nuances of government funding.
Core leadership and human resources practices necessary to build, manage, and retain strong teams in arts organizations.
