How do you get to Dodger Stadium from DTLA?
Dodger Stadium is easily accessible from Downtown LA. It is a quick drive (less than 10 minutes) from the Downtown Center, visitors can also take the Dodgers Express, a FREE shuttle operated by Metro that runs from Union Station in DTLA directly to the Stadium. At the end of the evening, visitors can also take the shuttle back to Union Station allowing for seamless, stress-free transport.

I know you guys are real locals, can I bring water into Dodgers stadium? What about my purse?
Our Angeleno pro-tip is to bring your refillable water bottle to the stadium, just make sure it’s empty! You are also permitted factory-sealed water bottles. Bags, backpacks, beach bags, hard/soft coolers, large purses, etc. are no not allowed, only adult diaper bags, diaper bags that accompany infants, clear plastic bags smaller than 12”X12”X6”, and non-clear wristlets/clutches no larger than 5”x8”x2” are allowed.
If I'm taking the Metro to Dodger Stadium, what is a good plan for food or drinks on the way?
An ideal pre-Dodgers game plan (pun intended!) starts by taking Metro from wherever you are to the Historic Broadway Station (accessible on Metro A and B line). From there, walk to Grand Central Market where there is truly something for everyone, but we’ll tell you some of our favorites for Dodgers fans! Villas Tacos boasts a giant Dodgers-themed mural behind their booth and their queso-tacos are worth the wait. Golden Road Brewing is a great option for grabbing a quick beer, inspired by all things Los Angeles, this brewery is perfect for getting in the LA spirit.
Just next door, Maple Block BBQ lives in the shaded, outdoor patio section of GCM and boasts some seriously impressive BBQ with a host of hearty sides like mac and cheese to go with your ice cold beer. After grabbing some food, you can either take the 40 bus to Union Station or you can walk! It’s about 20 minutes but you’ll get to walk past some great LA sights like City Hall and El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, the birthplace of LA. Once at Union Station, just hop on the free Dodgers Express shuttle run by Metro and get dropped off at the front gates of the baseball stadium!
Once the game is over you can take the shuttle back to Union Station and head home from there or explore the city.
I’m heading to a Dodger Stadium with my kids, any suggestions for kid-friendly dining in DTLA before the game?
There’s so many kid-friendly spots to grab food in Downtown if a Dodger Stadium hotdog isn’t in the cards for you. Uncle John’s Cafe is an old-school meets new-school diner offering everything from American breakfast to take-out-style Chinese food, all in a warm and friendly space.
Shake Shack is an easy favorite with lots of room for kiddos and a menu that will keep them full for the whole game. Maccheroni Republic offers casual but delicious pasta and has a cozy, fenced in patio for you to relax on.
