Community Engagement
Creating Connections and Building Community
In a city of millions, we seek community and connection. Downtown LA’s continued growth and success is supported by a thriving local community of engaged citizens. The DTLA Alliance aims to foster and build the District’s community through a variety of programs and initiatives.
DTLA Dog Days
A Doggone Good Time
For over 15 years, DTLA Dog Days bring residents, workers, and their beloved pups, mutts, and canine pals together to mingle with other fur families and Downtown-based dog businesses and non-profit organizations. Held in Pershing Square, this free summertime event features dog-friendly artisans and vendors, photo ops, live entertainment, and more!
DTLA Halloween Festival for Kids
Downtown's Not-So-Scary Holiday Tradition
For nearly 20 years, the DTLA Halloween Festival for Kids has brought Halloween magic to thousands of Downtown families. Held each year on Halloween night in Grand Hope Park at ASU California Center Grand, children can enjoy trick-or-treating, meet their favorite characters, play carnival games, and experience live entertainment. Plus, parents love our safe environment, ensuring a spooktacular time for everyone!
Community Events
Creating a Vibrant Heart of Downtown
Each year, the DTLA Alliance proudly supports a wide array of community events. From art festivals and food tastings to movie nights and silent discos, we collaborate with local organizations to ensure the Downtown Center is vibrant and engaging every day of the year.
DTLA Marketing Roundtable
Connecting Neighborhood Businesses
The DTLA Alliance hosts a monthly Marketing Roundtable that brings local business owners, marketing experts, and sales professionals together to share local offerings and business best practices. Members of the Roundtable are provided unique opportunities to promote their business, meet professional colleagues, stay in the know, and have a little fun!
