Couplet Coffee

Every time a beloved pop-up gets a permanent home, an angel gains their wings. It’s the ultimate reward for those who loyally trail the cherished chefs, baristas, bakers, and makers around LA, which is exactly how we felt when Couplet, a coffee stand with a cult-following, landed in Westlake. Now they’ve opened a second location right here in DTLA and we’re here to tell you believe the hype. While the cafe stands out for their playful, kitschy aesthetic, their coffee and tea are as serious as it gets. Couplet owner, Gefen Skolnick, sources beans directly from co-ops and family-run farms in Nicaragua, Brazil, and Peru and single-origin, ceremonial grade matcha from Ise Japan. Expect delightful flavor combos with drinks like their bananas n’ cream matcha latte or the gulab, a latte made with honey, saffron, rose, cardamom, and milk. They couldn’t leave you hungry though, the DTLA location will also be selling fan-favorite breakfast burritos and bagels and tons of different snacks to keep your day bright and fun.
