VENIA Studio Presents: Never Knows Best EP Release Show

Cameron Dunbar formed Never Knows Best out of the ashes of his previous solo project, The Blinking Lights. Inspired by classic acts such as: Joy Division, The Cure, and Depeche Mode, as well as modern outfits like Chvrches, and Cold Cave, Dunbar set out to reimagine his sound with an eclectic mix of synthesizers, electronic drum beats, and distorted guitars. Originally built on the concept of a "one man show", built out of live looping, computers and retro electronic hardware, Never Knows Best opted to add Justin Schultz to the line up in 2018, bringing the act live in a more fulfilling way. Never Knows Best self-describes as merging retro electronic sounds with modern technology and post-punk guitars.

PIERA are an American electronic music duo from Downtown Los Angeles, formed in 2019. The duo consists of Piera Klein and Micah Plissner. Their dark experimental synthpop soundscapes and Klein’s powerful vocals and lyrics have given them a signature sound found in the current electronic genres of EBM, synthwave and darkwave. PIERA has opened for Berlin, The Motels, A Flock of Seagulls and other iconic synthbands, catapulting them into the LA indie spotlight.
