The Moth Mainstage

As part of The Moth’s Spring 2026 season, the acclaimed nonprofit dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling will present a special Mainstage event in Los Angeles on April 15. This event marks the first Moth Mainstage in LA in two years, making the evening a highly anticipated event. The event highlights The Moth’s ongoing mission to amplify diverse voices and foster connection through true stories told live, without notes.

Co-produced with LAist, the show will be hosted by longtime Moth host and LA-native, Amber Wallin, and will feature a dynamic lineup of storytellers sharing true, personal stories that explore the theme of “American Dreams.” Does it even exist anymore? FOR WHO? What happens when the dream rubs up against reality? What happens when it's dashed or deferred? And what happens when the dream comes true?

Featured storytellers include activist and actor Joseph Raymond Lucero (Mayans, The Shield), Altadena painter Keni Arts (“Beauty for Ashes”), TV comedian Aida Rodriguez (Last Comic Standing), and beloved Moth storytellers Jon Goode and Renita Walls.

The evening will also celebrate the recent release of My Life in Stories: A Guided Journal from The Moth (Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Penguin Random House, $22.99). This keepsake journal features thoughtfully designed prompts that invite individuals to reflect on and share their own personal narratives—extending The Moth’s mission beyond the stage and encouraging storytelling as a practice for connection, self-discovery, and meaning-making.
