Pop Montreal x SOCAN Los Angeles Showcase - AIZA

POP Montreal and SOCAN in partnership with Canada Council For The Arts are proud to announce a new showcase series which puts the spotlight on Quebec musicians performing live in Los Angeles. These exciting monthly events will introduce emerging Quebec based artists to LA based industry eager to hear the next big things out of Canada, each one taking place at a different venue.

The first event will take place on May 24th, 2022 at The Love Song Bar at 450 S. Main Street with doors at 7PM. The event is free with RSVP and there will be food and drinks available on a first come first serve basis. To RSVP to the event, guests ca email popmontrealxsocanla@popmontreal.com. The event is open to the public.

The first event in this exciting new series will feature Aiza, a buzzed-about pop artist from Montreal who in 2019 was declared winner of the prestigious Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class, and also won “Francophone Artist of the Year” at the 3rd annual Dynasty Gala Awards, in large part due to the critical success of her debut EP Adieu.

In addition to having her music having been featured on numerous TV series, including Netflix’s Tuca & Bertie, CBC's Kim's Convenience, and Fox’s Paradise Hotel, Aiza is also a seasoned actor herself. She can be seen in the 2018 feature film On The Basis of Sex starring Felicity Jones, and is a new series regular on both Netflix’s original superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy as well as CBC’s hit sitcom Workin’ Moms and also co-hosting the CBC Gem talkshow Real Blackity Talk.
