Plática – Sacred Cycle of Corn: Ceremony, Story & Sound
Guests will participate in an afternoon rooted in ceremony, collective memory, and creative expression. The event begins with a blessing honoring corn as ancestor, teacher, and sustainer—inviting participants to ground themselves in gratitude and intention. A 20-minute panel follows, featuring voices engaged in Indigenous foodways, cultural preservation, and embodied knowledge. The afternoon unfolds with spoken word and song, weaving together story, resistance, and reverence. Light Indigenous-inspired bites will be served, allowing guests to taste the living legacy of corn while engaging in reflection and community.
