LA Chinatown Hungry Ghost Festival

Tradition lives and community thrives at the annual LA Chinatown Hungry Ghost Festival, held at The Alpine Recreation Center. Join Chinatown locals in honoring ancestors and sharing offerings with wandering souls. Dress in your most spirited costume and become part of the spectacle! Festivities include a lion and dragon dance by The East Wind Lion Dance Troupe, offerings at ancestral altars, performances on two stages, and a closing costume parade. Kids can enjoy crafts, face painting, a bounce house, and shadow puppetry. Free and open to the public — we can't wait to see you there!
