Kurinuki and Clay Marbling w/ Still Life Ceramics

Monday, 8/10 @7:00pm
Kurinuki – “to carve out” – is a Japanese method of making vessels by hollowing and carving a single block of clay. Many people find this process to be pleasantly meditative, and it yields pieces with beautifully organic shapes and textures. We will also learn how to mix two different types of clay to create marbled clay, which can be used for slab building, kurinuki, and more. This class is available through Zoom for $70, sign up through link
