From Formosa: Taiwan Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble 2026 US Tour

Celebrating “America250” and Taiwanese American Heritage Week, Taiwan Philharmonic proudly presents “From Formosa,” a premier cultural diplomacy tour showcasing Taiwan’s rich musical tapestry. Led by Concertmaster Hao-Tun Teng and an elite chamber ensemble, the performance features acclaimed pianist Chun-Chieh Yen and the soulful voices of the Taiwu Ballads Troupe (TBT).

The program bridges tradition and modernity, spanning Tyzen Hsiao’s iconic Aboriginal Suite, contemporary Hakka compositions, and the highly anticipated world premiere of a new work by composer Ke-Chia Chen. From the raw beauty of indigenous Paiwan chants to contemporary piano quintets, this concert offers a captivating journey through Taiwan’s diverse heritage.
