Chamber Music LA members the Colburn School, Salastina, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and Salastina, team up to present a joyous afternoon celebrating the quintessential chamber ensemble: the string quartet.

The core of chamber music is the string quartet—a medium and format in which the history of music, going back to the era of Mozart, is expressed. Mendelsohn and Schubert bring lyricism and soul, while the Late Romantic Schoenberg barely foretells the immense legacy of this and the last century. Will a mystery quartet drink from these fresh waters? You have to be there to find out.
