Celebrate the Eastside Sound Community Ride
Join LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes and Metro Bike Share for the Celebrando the Eastside Sound Community Bike Ride, a free event inspired by LA Plaza's newest exhibition, A Great Day in East LA: Celebrando the Eastside Sound. This guided ride will roll through iconic neighborhoods like Boyle Heights and East LA, passing landmarks, murals, and gathering places that reflect the rich musical soundscape of Los Angeles. Participants will stop at three sites: Mariachi Plaza, Neighborhood Music School, and the historic Paramount Theater, where exhibition co-curators will share stories that illuminate how music has shaped, and continue to shape, communities across generations. Come ride the rhythms of East LA and experience a soundtrack in movement.
A Great Day in East L.A.: Celebrando the Eastside Sound is a multimedia exhibition that delves into the rich musical legacy of East Los Angeles, highlighting the eclectic sounds and cultural influences that shaped its unique artistic identity. The exhibition will be on display from June 28, 2025, through August 23, 2026.
