Black Mammalogist Week at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles
Celebrate Black Mammalogists Week at the Natural History Museum! This celebration amplifies the global Black Mammalogists Week initiative, a movement started in 2020 to connect current and aspiring Black mammalogists across the Diaspora.
On October 16, join us for a special one-day, hands-on event honoring the incredible contributions of Black scientists and conservationists in the field of mammalogy. Enjoy stepping into the shoes of a researcher as you learn how to set up camera traps to study wildlife, meet live animals up close, chat one-on-one with real mammalogists and conservationists, and so much more!
Whether you are a student, educator, or nature lover, this is the perfect event to find community, celebrate diverse voices in science, and spark a lifelong passion for the natural world.
