On October 9, see The Shadow of the Cat (1961). This British horror film follows the story of Tabitha, the house cat of wealthy Ella Venable, who witnesses her owner’s murder at the hands of Ella’s husband and two servants, who are plotting to secure the inheritance. As Tabitha seeks vengeance, the murderers spiral into paranoia, desperate to eliminate the only witness.

Enjoy a post-film discussion presented by film historian and Hollywood Forever Cemetery Tour Guide, Karie Bible and guests Angie and Chris Schneider of the Hollywood Heritage Museum, evening access to the newest Fierce! The Story of Cats exhibit, pre-show activities with local cat organizations, vendors, and NHM experts, and a Cake or Fake unveiling by Annabel de Vetten of Conjurer’s Kitchen inspired by the film!
