On October 16, see A Bucket of Blood (1959). Directed by the “King of Cult”, Roger Corman, this dark comedy tells the story follows the nerdy Walter Paisley , a maladroit busboy who doesn't fit in with the cool scene around him. Hoping to woo his beautiful co-worker Carla, Walter makes a bust of her––but when his klutziness results in the death of his landlady's cat, he panics and hides its body under a layer of plaster. To his surprise,Carla and her friends are captivated by the resulting artwork, inspiring Walter to create even larger and more elaborate pieces using the same darkly artistic process.

Enjoy a post-film discussion presented by Alix Catherine of The Welcome Party podcast and guests Emily Baeza (producer, filmmaker, and content creator; Movie Mija), Chelsea Cook (Twitch variety streamer; whoischelsea), Jason Patrick Galit (aka JPG, pop culture educator and consultant, InterMyth), and Austin Olivia Kendrick (film/TV sound editor, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), evening access to the Fierce! The Story of Cats exhibit, and pre-show activities with local cat organizations, vendors, and NHM experts!
