Art Deco Splendors of DTLA: Central Library
About This Course
Downtown Los Angeles hosts a dazzling array of Art Deco architectural wonders, embracing the clean lines and geometric patterns of the 1920s and 1930s. Art Deco provided a perfect style for a growing city, as the movie industry and post-WWI migration attracted new residents. In this lecture and tour, we explore the beautiful Los Angeles Central Library. The tour ends at the historic Italian culinary gem in the breathtaking Maguire Gardens called Settecento DTLA. No membership required. Lunch is not included in the class fee. No refunds allowed. Students must sign a waiver before participating.
