DTLA Re.Imagined

Into the Future

DTLA Re.Imagined is a series of events, activations, and exhibitions re-envisioning Downtown’s streetscapes and public spaces by and for its residents, workers, and visitors. The Downtown Center BID (DCBID) partnered with two internationally recognized, award-winning Downtown architecture firms – CallisonRTKL and Bureau Spectacular with Jimenez Lai, to reimagine what DTLA is, and what it could be.

About DTLA Re.Imagined

Encompassing big ideas, project visions, a design expo, and symposium – all of which evolved out of the DCBID’s strategic placemaking initiative – DTLA Re.Imagined reveals and explores Downtown LA’s iconic elements and unique qualities, showcasing what makes DTLA special and highlighting opportunities to shape its future. Together, let’s imagine the next stage of the city’s evolution.

Reimagine with Us

Experiential and interactive, DTLA Re.Imagined is designed to engage and inspire the innovative spirit and creative energy of the Downtown community. As part of the Design Expo, we are inviting Downtown’s artists, architects, designers and cultural producers to share their ideas, projects, plans, reports and other works that reimagine DTLA. To submit your work to be featured in our Design Expo, or get more information, please contact us at econ@downtownla.com.

Symposium

The Re.Imagined Symposium will take place in early 2021, with a virtual, multi-media panel hosted by Will Wright, President of AIA Los Angeles. The event will explore the initiative, showcase the work of CallisonRTKL and Bureau Spectacular/Jimenez Lai and invite the Downtown creative community to join us in reimagining DTLA.
