Edward R. Roybal Learning Center

Construction of 5,100-student year-round high school. Construction to resume in March 2006.Four buildings will be converted into a 2,100-seat school. A separate 500-seat academy, cafeteria, library, student union and parents' center will also be developed on the 34-acre plot. The project will total 102 classrooms with 2,600 seats. Additionally, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy will develop a park on the site that would feature a soccer field, picnic area, fishing pond and outdoor amphitheater.
