Alloy
Just west of the L.A. River in the Arts District rises Alloy, from San Francisco-based Carmel Partners.
The project, which spans a site bounded by the 4th Street Bridge, Santa Fe Avenue, and Mateo Street, completed in 2024 and includes a total of 475 live/work apartments, 127,000 square feet of office space, and approximately 18,000 square feet of street-level shops and restaurants. The complex also features parking for 650 vehicles.
Works Progress Architecture and SCB headline the project's design team. The contemporary high-rise - the first tower in the Arts District - includes amenity decks above a podium structure and at its rooftop. At the rear of the site, an abandoned rail spur between Mateo and Santa Fe is being transformed into a pedestrian paseo lined by commercial uses.
