Chinatown

759 N Spring

Years and layers of stucco and neglect covered the exterior of one of Chinatown’s most impressive industrial buildings. Built in the 1880s, 759 N. Spring Street functioned as a furniture factory alongside the rail that passed through N. Spring Street. Upon walking the property, Redcar found that the top floor had a diamond truss ceiling—one of only two left in the the state of California. The property is now close to full redevelopment for creative office use. 759 N. Spring Street is leased to Giphy.com, who moved in starting in March 2017, and Contend Media.
