2600 S Hoover
In June 2018, the LA City Council approved funding for the project. Known as Casa de Rosas Campus, it will adaptively reuse a historic building - established in 1893 - located at the southeast corner of Adams and Hoover. The property, has served at various points in its history as a kindergarten, military barracks, the headquarters of L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics Foundation, and a shelter for homeless women. Casa de Rosas Campus LP, an affiliate of Ward Economic Development Corporation, intends to convert the property into 36 apartments catering to low-income persons making between 30 and 40 percent of the area median income.
