Downtown Los Angeles is in the midst of a remarkable housing boom! Since 1999, over 9,200 units have been added to the market. Another 7,900 are under construction with nearly 17,000 in the pipeline. There are now more than 11,100 market rate apartments and lofts in the central business district.

On July 20, 2007, Downtown LA welcomed its first grocery store in over 50 years. Ralphs Fresh Fare opened a 50,000 square foot grocery store in the ground floor of the Market Lofts. Located on 9th Street between Hope and Flower streets, Ralphs is an integral addition to the Downtown LA renaissance.
New restaurants Downtown include Daily Grill in the ground floor of the Pegasus, Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion at 800 Figueroa St and Pitfire Pizza Grill in the ground floor of the Higgins Building.
