Downtown Organizations

There are many organizations that strive to make Downtown Los Angeles a better place. None is as important as the Central City Association (CCA).

For over 80 years, CCA has been the leading advocate for the business community and has positioned itself as the driving force in the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles.

In addition, several other organizations play important roles in the Downtown arena. The mission of the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) is to attract, retain and grow business and jobs in Los Angeles County.

The Convention Center is one of the most efficiently designed and technologically advanced exhibition facilities in the world and hosts groups from around the world and the nation throughout the year. Many special events are also held at this facility.

The Los Angeles Fashion District is committed to making the Fashion District a clean, safe and friendly place to work, shop and do business.

Both the Downtown Center Business Improvement District and the Fashion District are members of the International Downtown Association (IDA). IDA is a world leader and champion for vital and livable urban centers.
