Winner of the Best Event Award at the Downtowners of Distinction Awards, the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles (DFFLA) is a major component of the renaissance in downtown Los Angeles today.

DFFLA presents an exciting 8 days of activities including movie premieres, galas, private dinner receptions, after parties, art exhibits, cultural events, educational programs, and more.

Our festival hosts over 30,000 attendees including entertainment industry executives, investors, celebrities, actors, filmmakers, artists, business leaders, film goers, students and supporters of the arts.

DFFLA showcases over 20 venues in downtown including the historic theaters, new building developments, restaurants, night clubs, bars, educational facilities, parks and more.

The festival hosts premieres of over 200 films including the best cinema from United States and around the World.

Diversity program includes the Latino and African film series
Career development programs include industry workshops.

Youth programs includes high school workshop and showcase

Green components include one full day dedicated to saving the environment through our Sustainable LA program.

Arts Advocacy programs include participation in the Downtown LA Art Walk hosts over 20,000 attendees.

DFFLA is supported by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Senator Ron Calderon, Assemblymen Mike Davis, County Supervisor Gloria Molina, LA city council members Jan Perry, Jose Huizar, and Ed Reyes, Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, Community Redevelopment Agency, Historic BID, over 80 sponsors and many more.
